While a sexual pervert resigns from Congress after years of running amok in the House of Representatives, the republican leadership continues to engage in a coverup to hide all traces of the repugnant state of affairs that seems to be treated as “business as usual” by those sworn to abide by and protect our Constitution.
It seems like voting to make torture one more of the “interrogation techniques” of the intelligence agencies and shredding the Constitution by allowing Americans to be detained indefinitely without charges is not enough for this crowd of charlatans.
Today their leadership rallies in defense of sexual predators.
The people who seem to have known for a long time about the criminal actions of republican Marc Foley against minors are congressmen Hastert, Boehner, Blount, Reynolds, and Shimkus. Apparently they knew for months about the e-mails and sexually explicit IMs that Foley sent to one of the pages.
However they decided to remain silent and to protect “one of theirs” instead of conducting an investigation and demanding Foley’s resignation from Congress.
When it is not safe anymore for our children to come close to the House of the People because the degradation of those who inhabit it is worse than the lowest of species, I am afraid that we as a country have hit bottom.
