Stop Racism against Hispanics

Important documentary regarding the racist laws approved by the Prince Williams county board in Virginia.

According to the filmmakers Annabel Park and Eric Byler who have posted the videos in their YouTube channel:

This channel is an “Interactive Documentary” about the politicization of the immigration issue, currently being shot in Northern Virginia…

Because of the timliness of the immigration issue, we decided to create this real-time, interactive documentary page — breaking with the usual documentary post production method that delays public feedback for months and months. We hope our YouTube videos can help alleviate the bitter fight in Prince William County and promote greater understanding and empathy.

Latino Netroots Podcast #2 is out

The LNR Podcast #2 is out. You can listen to/download it here.

Marisa Treviño (Latina Lista), Liza Sabater (CultureKitchen), Louis Pagan (Latino Pundit) and Roberto Lovato (Of América) join La Bloguera and Dabloguiman in the first podcast of the Fall season.

Roberto Lovato brings us an exciting in-depth report about the 2nd Annual Latino Congreso held in LA between October 5th and 9th; Marisa Treviño gives us her perspective on how traditional media coverage of immigration and other important issues impact the debate; Liza Sabater and Louis Pagan help us sort out ways in which the Latino blogosphere could more efficiently get our message out and influence the political discourse about issues of importance to Latinos. Finally, La Bloguera explains why the Mexican ambassador was kept “outside the walls” of the White House during the celebrations for Hispanic “Hysteria” Month.

The wide stance of the Republican party

The 2008 Republican National Convention is in Minneapolis. Apparently Minneapolis has one of the highest bathroom cubicle to person ratios in the country.

Although we know the citizens of Minneapolis always make proper use of these facilities, it looks like once again the Republicans have other things in mind.

If you don’t believe me take a look at the new official logo of the 2008 GOP convention.

As Kos notes:

Wide stance? Check.

In Minneapolis? Check.

Prison stripe-wearing? Check.

Starry eyed? Check.

As for the elephant humping the “2008″…

And the “Still screwing the country in 2008″ theme sounds just about right to me.
